OUR EDUCATIONAL APPROACH

Environmental Studies

The Environmental Studies program encompasses four main areas: Science, Global Perspectives, Geography, and History. It aims to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and an understanding of the world’s physical and human processes.

The curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation in scientific enquiry, understanding of global issues, geographical knowledge, and historical awareness under the umbrella of an international mindset.

Each subject area introduces concepts in an age-appropriate manner throughout the primary years, ensuring students develop a comprehensive understanding of their environment, the impacts of human activities, and the importance of sustainable living.

Life Skills

The Life Skills program includes English language development tailored to different situations, audiences, and purposes, encouraging critical thinking and enjoyment in learning.

Personal, Social, Health Education (PSHE) focuses on self-awareness, social justice, and making informed choices.
Turkish language development is offered to support life in Turkey and enhance multicultural awareness.

Mathematics instruction aims not only to develop academic progress but also problem-solving skills to apply mathematical knowledge in daily life.

Digital literacy is a crucial skill in student’s lives. This includes navigating the internet safely, understanding digital content and its impact, and developing skills in digital communication and creation (programming)

Expressive Arts

The Expressive Arts program integrates visual arts, music, movement, and physical education.

Students explore art techniques and the influence of famous painters, fostering appreciation and creativity to develop their own artistic path. The music component emphasises understanding music history, its impact, and how to blend it into practical music-making. Physical education focuses on team sports, competition, and awareness of physical changes and healthy habits, promoting teamwork and personal growth.
